Pashinyan should confess he does not control the situation in the country and should give up power - Artur Vanetsyan
"It has been already a year since the end of the 44-day war we have been calling for the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan in the interest of the Armenian people and the Armenian statehood," Artur Vanetsyan, the leader of Homeland party told an interview with Factor.am news outlet. In the words of the opposition MP, Pashinyan's actions are aimed at merely preserving his power and he has failed to secure the long-term security guarantees for Armenia and Artsakh.
"The developments that took place on November 14 proved the fact that we have no security system. We used to described it as disrupted but the truth is we have actually no security system," said Vanetsyan. The opposition MP emphasized a power of one person has been established in Armenia.
"The whole power is subordinated to one person. That person is Nikol Pashinyan, and it is not important who are the minister of defense, the Chief of Security Service. Nikol Pashinyan is the one who bears responsibility for the whole situation. Pashinyan should confess that he does not control the situation in the country, he is unable to exercise his duties and should give up the power and resign. That would be the most honest way to solve the current deadlock," said Vanetsyan.
