State-sponsored Armenophobia in Azerbaijan got extremist forms of fascism, Armenian ombudsman tells RT
Armenia's Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan spoke about the consequences of Azerbaijan’s unlawful incursion into Armenian territory and terrorist attacks against the country, with the recent attack recorded on November 16, at a live broadcast on Russia Today.
The ombudsman noted that the fact-finding mission carried out by his office has confirmed that Azerbaijani forces are committing crimes in the immediate vicinity of Armenian villages every single day by stealing their cattle, opening fire at their houses, threatening and terrorizing the peaceful population.
In the interview to RT held with the support of the Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region (ANCA-WR), Tatoyan reflected on the real reasons for the unlawful actions of Azerbaijan.
The state-sponsored Armenophobia and propaganda of hatred in Azerbaijan after last year’s war has further deepened and got extremist forms of fascism, he underscored.
Azerbaijan’s state-sponsored policy of encouraging the killings of Armenians poses a threat to the peaceful life and security of the two peoples, the ombudsman added.
