Armenian, Russian foreign ministers hold phone call
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides stressed the importance for a comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.
During the phone call, Mirzoyan briefed Lavrov on the situation after Azerbaijan's latest aggression against Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
He highlighted the role of Armenian-Russian allied relations in efforts aimed at establishing stability in the region.
The foreign ministers also discussed the implementation of the commitments undertaken by the parties under the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
