Armenia’s consumer market sees 9.1% inflation in 12 months
The economic activity of Armenia grew by 4.3% in January-October 2021 against the same period of 2020, according to the latest data released by the Statistical Committee of the country. The economic activity dropped by 4.9% in October to compare with September data of the ongoing year. The annual growth of economic activity is 3.6%, the source said.
The consumer price index rose by 6.9% in January-October, by 0.7% against September data and by 9.1% in the past 12 months.
According to the statistics, the consumer prices rose by 6.9% in January-October to compare with the previous year data while the electricity production volumes recorded a 3.1% decrease. 6.4%- growth has been registered in the volume of services while the construction volumes rose by 5.9%.
As for the external trade turnover, it rose by 13.6% in January-October and by 12.5% against September data. Over the past ten months the exports volumes grew by by 16.9% and imports by 11.8%.
