Former Armavir governor named Armenia’s new deputy PM
Former Governor of Armenia’s Armavir Province Hambardzum Matevosyan has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, according to a decree published on the website of the Armenian president.
The appointment was made based on the prime minister's proposal and in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5 (Part 1) of the law "On Structure and Activities of the Government".
Matevosyan was dismissed as Armavir governor on November 24. The deputy prime minister’s post became vacant after Suren Papikyan was appointed Armenian Defense Minister.
