Armenian ombudsman honored with ANCA-WR Human Rights Champion award
The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region (ANCA-WR) bestowed the Human Rights Champion award to Armenia’s Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan for his consistent efforts aimed at advocating the interests and upholding the rights of the people of Armenia and Artsakh.
He received the award at the 2021 ANCA-WR Grassroots Luncheon.
Tatoyan expressed gratitude to the ANCA-WR for the award, highlighting the tireless efforts taken by the whole staff of the human rights defender, his office reported on Friday.
He also sent a strong message to the Armenian Diaspora, thanking the community for its vigilance in advocating for the rights of the people of Armenia and Artsakh.
Tatoyan issued a certificate of recognition to Nora Hovsepian on behalf of the ANCA-WR Board for the organization’s tireless advocacy work. Certificates of recognition were also issued to distinguished legal experts Garo Ghazarian, Esq. and Karnig Kerkonian, Esq. for their steadfast support to the Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office.
