Our assessment is that Azerbaijani forces have intruded into the sovereign territory of Armenia, Pashinyan says
Nikol Pashinyan on Friday highlighted the role of Russian leader Vladimir Putin for halting the military actions last year and the mission of Russian peacekeepers for establishing peace in the region. Pashinyan's remarks came at the opening of the trilateral summit of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan underway in Sochi.
"I want to stress that the situation is not that stable. After the November 9 ceasefire agreement of 2020, dozens of people have been killed not only in Karabakh. We have had a crisis on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border since May this year. Our assessment is that Azerbaijani forces have intruded into the sovereign territory of Armenia. Of course, no delimitation and demarcation have been implemented between Armenia and Azerbaijan, yet there is a state border and that is the sovereign territory of Armenia," Pashinyan said.
