Police detain six protesters blocking Yerevan streets
Police officers detained six protesters blocking streets in Yerevan on Friday, the press service of the law enforcement agency told Panorama.am.
"The citizens were detained for their failure to comply with the lawful demand of police officers under Article 182 of the Code of Administrative Offenses," the police said.
Among the detainees was Ara Zohrabyan, the leader of the opposition Zartonk (Awakening) party, who was dragged into a police vehicle.
The Liberation Movement initiative group has been holding protests in the Armenian capital for several days now, demanding that Nikol Pashinyan disclose the document on delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which is about to be signed.
