Armenia’s National Security Service completes investigation of high treason case
The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has completed a preliminary investigation of the case of high treason by two Armenian citizens, who are accused of spying for Azerbaijan, the law enforcement agency reported on Wednesday.
The investigation revealed that the two Armenian citizens, who were unemployed and did not have a permanent source of income, went to Turkey to earn money, where they were recruited by Azerbaijani intelligence before the 44-day war in Artsakh.
They collected Armenian state secrets, including classified data on military personnel, and passed them on to Azerbaijani special services.
On November 26, the criminal case with the indictment was forwarded to the prosecutor for further processing.
