Armenian audience to enjoy Manuel De Falla's “Nights in the Gardens of Spain” for first time
“Nights in the Gardens of Spain” symphonic impressions for piano and orchestra by Manuel De Falla will be performed today for the first time in Armenia, the State Symphony Orchestra reported. The set of nocturnes based on Spanish national motives will be performed by Armenian pianist Hayk Melikyan. The concert will take place at Aram Khachaturian concert hall at 19:00.
“Nights in the Gardens of Spain” is one of the most renowned works of Manuel de Falla which reveals the full talent and identity of the composer, reflecting the most cherished feelings of the author and the national origins.
On the same evening, another work by De Falla, Ritual Fire Dance from the Ballet “The Bewitched Love” will be played.
The second part of the concert programme features Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68 by Johannes Brahms. The conductor is Gianluca Marcianò.
