Armenia becomes most popular winter destination for Russian tourists
Armenia has become the most popular destination for Russian travelers this winter, according to the search and purchase data of Yandex online ticket booking system.
Kommersant daily reports that amid the surge of remote work, more Russians show interestin spending the winter in sunny countries. Armenia tops the list of travel hotspots for Russians based on the statistics of ticket purchase and search results.
Other popular travel destinations are Thailand, Turkey and Sri Lanka. It is noted that air flights to Armenia and Turkey are the cheapest.
