Public figures join #ArtsakhFlagChallenge flashmob in solidarity with compatriots
Number of public, political and cultural figures have launched a flashmob named 'Our Thoughts with Artsakh' displaying the national flag of the Artsakh Republic on social media along with #ArtsakhFlagChallenge hashtag. The flashmob is aimed at expressing solidarity with Artsakh and its people.
"There is no Artsakh without Armenia and there is no Armenia without Artsakh," publicist Hovhannes Ishkhanyan wrote on Facebook. He suggested to hang the flag from balconies of the buildings.
Opposition lawmaker Kristine Vardanyan has joined the initiative. "What to do when the enemy stops a bus on your own land and scraps the Artsakh flag from it? What to do when the enemy, who does not recognize your existence in your homeland, demands that flags be removed from Armenian combat positions? I think the answer is clear - start displaying the flag as much as possible in various places," Vardanyan wrote.
Lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan has joined the flashmob: "I am a strong support of the idea of unification of Armenia with Artsakh disregarding the concept of self-determination and independence of Artsakh as an invented outcome of our legal political thought. I have hanged the Artsakh flag as an act of complaint and reminder to call on all friends to follow it. Fill the streets of Armenia with Artsakh flag. The story of our initiative.national liberation struggle is yet to be written," Harutyunyan wrote.
Journalist, commentator Armen Dulyan has joined the flashmob, stressing there can be no Armenia without Artsakh, and also inviting the President of the Journalists' Union of Armenia Satik Seyranyan and RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan to join the initiative.national liberation struggle is yet to be written," Harutyunyan wrote.
"There's no Armenia without Artsakh! Artsakh is part of our homeland not just a territory. God Bless our Homeland!" Ter Serob Bishop Azaryan wrote on Facebook.
