MES reports closed roads in the territory of Armenia
There are closed roads in the territory of Armenia as of 09:00, December 20, the ministry of emergency situations (MES) reported. The roadway leading from Amberd fortress to Kari lake in Aragatsotn province is closed. Due to the rockfall, the roadway leading from Zovuni village to Korea gorge is temporarily closed.
Vardenyats Pass is open for all types of vehicles, chains need to be applied for trucks with trailers.
Toros-Vardaghbyur roadway of Shirak province is difficult to pass for trucks. Black ice is noticed on Aparan-Aragats roadway of Aragatsotn province. According to the information provided by the ministry of internal affairs of Georgia Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open. Drivers are recommended to drive exclusively on winter tires.
