Russian peacekeepers destroyed explosive objects detected in Artsakh
Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent destroyed the ammo detected at the territory of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
During one day sappers destroyed eight ammo for hand-held antitank grenade launcher detected in Martuni district. Disposal of the detected explosive devices (EDs) was carried out by detonating the overhead charge in compliance with all necessary safety measures, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
10 servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent equipped with IMP-S2 mine detectors and non-contact portable Korshun seekers were involved in disposal works.
Local residents address to the humanitarian response center of the Russian peacekeeping forces for help in order to protect themselves and not disrupt planned activities to prepare agricultural work for winter.
In total, since November 23, 2020, 2,326.6 hectares of territory, more than 683 kilometers of roads, 1,937 buildings, including 34 socially significant objects, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance by the military personnel of the humanitarian demining unit, 26,088 explosive objects have been found and neutralized.
