Yerevan Perspectives: Directors of over 100 leading festivals to arrive in Armenia in 2022
Due to its exceptional artistic quality, the Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival has been a full member of the European Festivals Association (EFA) since 2007. Since 2014, it has been ranked among the top ten festivals in Europe.
During the General Assembly meeting of 2021, EFA members voted and confirmed the EFA’s next Arts Festivals Summit from 2 to 5 May 2022 in Armenia, hosted by the 23rd Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival, it said in a statement on Thursday.
From May 1-5, 2022, the directors of more than 100 leading festivals, European commissioners for innovation, research, culture, education, youth and other spheres, mayors of about 40 European cities, businessmen, tourism and media officials, guests will arrive in Armenia, comprising more than 300 participants in total.
In 2022, EFA will turn 70. Armenia will host the 70th anniversary of the European Festivals Association, thus marking the beginning of a new decade of the association. The summit of 2022 will differ in its format by launching new programs, new projects, and initiatives, the Yerevan Perspectives said.
