60% of employees in Armenia fully vaccinated - health minister
1.591,809 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered in Armenia as of December 23, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan told reporters.
In her words, 920,650 people have received one vaccine shot, and 670,710 have been fully vaccinated. Avanesyan added that 500 citizens have received Covid-19 vaccine booster. In her words, the coronavirus situation in the country is favourable. Commenting on Nikol Pashinyan's remarks that he had received a vaccine booster, Minister Avanesyan stressed there is no mandatory requirement for the third shot for the population and relevant decision will be made depending on the situation.
"Some 60% of the employees in Armenia have been fully vaccinated which means the measures and restrictions set my the health authorities have given positive results and encouraged the citizens to get vaccinated," said Avanesyan.
The minister also informed that no case of Omicron variant has been revealed in country thus far.
