Consumer market sees 9.6% inflation in 12 months in Armenia
The economic activity of Armenia grew by 5.2% in January-November 2021 against the same period of 2020, according to the latest data released by the Statistical Committee of the country. The economic activity dropped by 1.4% in November to compare with October data of the ongoing year. The annual growth of economic activity is 13.2%, the source said.
According to the statistics, the industrial output increased by 2.7% in 11 months and by 15.7% against November of the previous year. 6.9% growth has been registered in the construction sector, while electricity production grew by 2% in the reported period.
The volumes of trade turnover grew by 7.9% in the 11 months, likewise the services by 7.3%. As for the external trade turnover, it rose by 16.6% in January-November. Over the past ten months the exports volumes grew by 19.4% and imports by 15.1%.
The consumer price index rose by 7.1% in January-November and by 9.6% against November of the previous year.
