Top Turkish judicial body dismisses prosecutor over TikTok videos
The public prosecutor of the Turgutlu district in Turkey Nusreddin Saltabaş has been temporarily dismissed from his duty by the Board of Judges and Prosecutors, the local sources report. The dismissal came after Saltabaş shared various videos on TikTok. After the videos went viral on social media, Saltabaş has closed his media accounts.
The HSK launched an investigation into him on charges of "damaging the profession's honor, reputation and respectability." A decision will be given with regards to Saltabaş following the completion of the investigation.
