No Armenian citizens injured in Kazakhstan protests – Foreign Ministry
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has provided details regarding the deployment of Armenian troops to Kazakhstan as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces.
In comments to Armenpress on Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan said that no Armenian citizens were injured in the ongoing violent protests in the country, citing the data provided by the Armenian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
He also said that the government has no plans to evacuate Armenian citizens from Kazakhstan at this point.
"The task of Armenian peacekeepers will be to protect strategic facilities," the spokesman noted.
