Armenia to organize a meeting of CSTO Security Council
Russian president Vladimir Putin had telephone conversations on January 8 with Belarus President Alexandr Lukashenko and Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, the Kremlin reported. The discussion focused on the developments in Kazakhstan, the source said.
Pashinyan informed that Armenia as a member state currently presiding in the the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) is organising a session of the CSTO Security Council.
Earlier, Kazakh president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had asked Putin to initiate a videoconference of the CSTO Security Council, and Vladimir Putin supported his proposal.
