Armenia’s crisis management center records 136 emergencies in one week
From 3 to 9 January, the National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded a total of 377 cases, of which 136 were emergent.
The number included 71 fires, 1 rockfall case, 7 suicide attempts, 37 road traffic accidents, as well as 152 household calls, the ministry reported on Monday.
A total of 97 people were affected. 2 citizens were rescued due to rapid rescue operations.
The crisis management center reported 12 fatalities last week.
Also, 13 cases of poisoning were registered.
Scores of vehicles were stranded over the past week due to bad weather conditions or other circumstances. Rescuers rendered assistance to 117 citizens, taking 35 vehicles to a safe place.
