Snowstorm reported on Yerevan-Gyumri highway
Some roads are closed and difficult to pass in Armenia, according to the latest update of the ministry of emergency situations. The roadway leading from Amberd fortress to Kari lake in Aragatsotn province is closed.
Some roads are difficult to pass in Aragats region of Aragatsotn province. Snowstorm is observed on the 77-85 km section of Yerevan-Gyumri highway. It is snowing in Shirak and Aragatsotn provinces, in Dilijan turns, Charentsavan and Hrazdan towns of Kotayk province, Spited town of Lori province, Jermuk and Yeghegnkadzor towns of Vayots Dzor province. Fog is noticed in Vardenyats Pass and in Gyumri town of Shirak province.
Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are recommended to drive exclusively on winter tires.
