Armenian peacekeepers return home from Kazakhstan
The Armenian troops sent to Kazakhstan as part of the CSTO peacekeeping mission returned to Armenia on Friday, the Defense Ministry reported.
Armenia dispatched 100 peacekeepers to Kazakhstan on 7 January. During the mission, the Armenian peacekeeping unit protected facilities and infrastructures of strategic significance.
The withdrawal of CSTO peacekeepers from Kazakhstan, which began on January 13, will end on January 19, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on Thursday.
