U.S. welcomes dialogue between Armenia, Turkey
The United States welcomes the first meeting between the Armenian and Turkish special representatives.
The special envoys from Armenia and Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kilic, met in Moscow on Friday for the first round of talks to normalize relations between the two countries.
“We warmly welcome the Armenian-Turkish dialogue and the involvement of the two countries in diplomacy and dialogue to settle their differences,” the U.S. Department of State told the Voice of America’s Armenian service in response to a request for Washington’s position on the Armenian-Turkish dialogue.
