Flights between Armenia and Turkey to start on February 2
Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has announced that direct flights between Turkey and Armenia are to start on February 2, TASS reports.
"Air communication with Armenia starts on February 2, and with northern Iraq (Erbil) – on January 24," the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier on January 13, pro-government MP Khachatur Sukiasyan’s spokesperson Anna Mkrtchyan said FlyOne Armenia air company would launch non-scheduled, commercial flights from Yerevan to Istanbul starting February 2.
In her words, the flights will be operated from Zvartnots International Airport to Istanbul Airport at affordable prices, starting from €39. FlyOne Armenia club mambas can obtain tickets at €34.
The flights will be operated twice a week in February-March on Mondays and Fridays.
