Mining companies in Armenia owe around 71 million drams to state – Prosecutor General's Office
Mining companies in Armenia owe around 71 million drams (approx. $148 thousand) to the state in mandatory payments, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia reported on Thursday.
It is noted that 26 economic entities have payment obligations for recultivation amounting to a total of about 40 million drams, of which 2.4 million have been paid during inspections.
Eight companies owe 23 million drams in the line of payments for the socio-economic development of communities. Another 4 entities owe 8 million drams in state fees.
Warnings have been issued to all of them, administrative proceedings have been initiated and measures have been taken to recover the debts through judicial procedures.
