Hatred against LGBTI people in the South Caucasus on the agenda of PACE Winter session
Debates on combating rising hate against LGBTI people in Europe and on alleged violations of their rights in the Southern Caucasus, are among highlights of the 2022 Winter Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), to be held from 24 to 28 January in a hybrid format, Panorama.am learnt from the Assembly press service.
According to the agenda of the session, the joint debate on "Alleged violations of the rights of LGBTI people in the Southern Caucasus" is scheduled on the first day of the session which also contains a presentation by Rapporteur Christophe Lacroix from Belgium.
Also on the agenda are debates and human rights violations, including enforced disappearances in the Nagorno Karabakh and the functioning of democratic institutions in Armenia.
The Assembly will decide its final agenda at the opening of the session.
