Pashinyan, Putin hold phone call
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday held a telephone conversation with Nikol Pashinyan at the initiative of the Armenian side, the Kremlin press service reported.
They discussed practical aspects of the implementation of the agreements enshrined in the trilateral statements of the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian leaders dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, including issues concerning the delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The expediency of continuing the work of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (Russia, the US and France) was also pointed out.
“Taking into account Armenia’s current chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the prospects of further interaction within the framework of the CSTO were discussed,” the Kremlin said.
At Pashinyan's request, the Russian leader briefed him on the negotiations with the US and its allies on the security guarantees of the Russian Federation, it added.
