Snowstorm hits some roads in Armenia
Several roads are closed and difficult to pass in Armenia as of Saturday morning, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
In particular, the road linking Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is shut down. Tatev-Shinuhayr road of Syunik Province is closed for trailer trucks.
Vardenyats Pass is difficult to pass for trailer trucks. Yeghnajur-Zarishat road of Shirak Province is difficult to pass.
Roads of Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Provinces, Aparan and Aragats regions (Aragatsotn Province) as well as Tigranashen turns (Ararat Province) are icy in places.
Snowstorm has hit Goris-Sisian and Tatev-Shinuhayr highways of Syunik Province.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open to all types of vehicles.
