4% of daily Covid cases in Armenia require hospitalization, minister says
The Armenian health authorities are increasing the number of hospital beds for coronavirus patients amid the surge in new daily cases, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
Armenia confirmed a record high of 4,388 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
The health care system is again working hard to curb the spread of the virus and provide care to Covid patients.
In the minister’s words, 4% of new daily Covid cases require hospitalization. In all, 46.3% of the people aged 18 years or more have received one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 37% are fully vaccinated.
Nikol Pashinyan said, in turn, that out of 4,388 new daily cases, 1,533 patents are hospitalized, of whom only 256 or 16.6% have been vaccinated.
