Armenia denies firing at Azerbaijani positions
Armenia’s Defense Ministry on Thursday denied Azerbaijani reports that Armenian forces had allegedly fired across the border at Azerbaijani combat positions.
“The statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that the Armenian military opened fire at Azerbaijani positions deployed in the northern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on 9 February is false,” the ministry said in a statement.
The situation along the border is relatively stable and is fully controlled by the Armenian army, it added.
