Armenian Security Council, CSTO chiefs discuss situation on border with Azerbaijan
Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan on Friday held a telephone conversation with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas, the Security Council reported.
The sides discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
Grigoryan stressed that the border between the two republics has existed since the Soviet era. He also noted that under the 1991 agreement on the Establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the parties recognized the border, ratified the deal in their parliaments and made it an integral part of their legislation.
Grigoryan and Zas also discussed a number of issues related to Armenia's current chairmanship of the CSTO during the phone call.
