FM: Uninterrupted communication of Artsakh with Armenia and outside world must be ensured
An uninterrupted communication of Artsakh with Armenia and the outside world must be ensured and it cannot be controlled by Azerbaijan, Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan said at the presentation of his books in the Armenian National Academy of Sciences on Saturday.
"There were talks from Azerbaijan about setting up a checkpoint on the road [linking Artsakh to Armenia]. This is absolutely unacceptable," Babayan said.
Answering a question about the possibility of building a road bypassing the Berdzor (Lachin) corridor, the minister stressed that the issue of uninterrupted communication is in the focus of the Artsakh authorities.
"There is no final decision yet; negotiations are underway. We will stand up for our interests," Babayan stressed.
