Azerbaijani forces targeted Artsakh farmer, police say
Azerbaijani forces opened fire at a civilian engaged in farming in an Artsakh village in fresh ceasefire isolation on Tuesday.
The farmer, identified only by his initials as K.M. (born in 1983), came under Azerbaijani gunfire when cultivating land with the use of a tractor in the administrative area of Khramort village close to the line of contact at around 3:30pm, police said.
A tire of the tractor was damaged in the shooting. The farmer did not suffer injuries.
Officers of the Askeran regional police department and Russian peacekeepers intervened.
A police report is being prepared to open a criminal probe into the incident.
