Armenian MP: Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan has its own “brand” of creativity. The “brand” of problem solution by Azerbaijan is denying its existence, Armenian MP Hayk Mamijanyan from the opposition With Honor faction told a meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly committees on Tuesday.
The joint meeting of the Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Democracy and of the Committee on Energy Security was held at Yerevan’s Sports and Concerts Complex after Karen Demirchyan.
In his speech, Mamijanyan pointed to the statements of the Azerbaijani authorities that there is no Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict.
“According to Azerbaijan, there is no Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, there are no prisoners of war, there was no usage of prohibited weaponry during the war in 2020, there was no destruction of the cultural heritage, and it’s not continued right now, there were no terrorists in the Artsakh region, no armed forces were and are at the moment on the sovereign territory of Armenia,” the deputy said.
He underscored that Azerbaijan’s “ostrich” policy of neglecting problems “has no future”.
“In conclusion of my speech, I would like to cite the former president of Armenia, who is prosecuted by Azerbaijani dictators and by the populists in Armenia: ‘Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan’,” Mamijanyan said.
