6 cases of botulism recorded in Armenia since January 1
Six cases of botulism were registered in Armenia from January 1, 2022 to present, affecting 10 people, according to data released by the Ministry of Health.
Given the severe course of the disease, in order to avoid further complications, the health authorities urge people:
➢to avoid using home-canned foods;
➢before using home-canned foods, subject them to heat treatment by boiling them for 20-25 minutes;
➢do not buy home-canned foods at the market or from random people;
➢see a doctor immediately at the onset of the first symptoms.
