Vardan Voskanyan: Azerbaijan may be sending terrorist fighters to Ukraine
Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service announced on Friday that terrorist fighters and mercenaries from the Middle East were being sent to Ukraine via Poland, Armenian expert on Iran Vardan Voskanyan said on Saturday.
“In this regard, it is worth noting that at the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine in February, the unofficial Twitter account of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on the inadmissibility of the activities of Middle Eastern extremist terrorists on the territory of Azerbaijan,” the expert wrote on Telegram.
“The matter apparently concerns the terrorists who were transferred to the artificial formation named Azerbaijan during the 44-day war, and whose "fate" remained unknown.
"Meanwhile, under the pretext of allegedly delivering “humanitarian” aid to Ukraine, the dictatorial regime of Baku has increased the frequency of highly suspicious cargo flights from Azerbaijan to Poland, which may be carrying not only weapons and ammunition, but also terrorist units from the Middle East,” Voskanyan said.
