Seyran Ohanyan extends greetings on International Women's Day
Armenia’s former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, who is now an MP from the opposition Hayastan faction, extended greetings to women on International Women's Day celebrated on March 8. His full message is below.
"International Women's Day is celebrated globally on March 8.
High-ranking and experienced statesmen extend beautiful wishes, sincerely praising mothers who gave us life, beloved women, sisters and daughters.
But in this same world, with short-sighted, random individuals at the helm of power, wars follow one after another, wreaking death and devastation, destroying the lives of thousands of peaceful, unarmed beings – women, children, the elderly.
Today it has become even more difficult to protect the world from this scourge.
And I want like to sincerely believe that in the eternal, restless cycle of life, no trials will disrupt the heavenly mission of women to live beautifully, love, be loved, be happy and bring new life into the world.
I wish that the heartfelt care of loving, protective and strong men give them new wings to fly and help them reach the very pinnacle of their dreams.
Happy holiday, dear women!
Eternal respect to the mothers who gave their most loved ones to save the homeland.
May peace and cradle revenge bring them new joy and solace!”
