Russian, Azerbaijani FMs discuss Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of a diplomatic forum in Antalya on Thursday, March 10, Interfax reported, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The foreign ministers discussed the process of implementing the agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, concerning in particular the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, the unblocking of economic relations and transport communications in the region, and the resolution of humanitarian problems," the statement said.
"It was agreed to follow up with a second meeting of the 3 +3 Consultative Regional Platform as soon as possible," it said.
The ministers also discussed "further steps to implement the Russia-Azerbaijan declaration of alliance signed on February 22 between the leaders of the two countries during the official Russia visit by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev," the statement said.
The pair also touched on a number of international topics of mutual interest, the ministry added.
