Kazakh airline suspends flights to Russia
Kazakh air carrier Air Astana has suspended flights to Russia due to the absence of insurance coverage for commercial flights, Interfax reported on Friday, citing the airline press service.
"Air Astana regrets to announce that, given the termination of insurance coverage for commercial flights to, from and above the Russian Federation, all of its flights to that destination will be suspended," the press service said.
According to the press service, the airline is working with the Kazakh government to urgently resolve the problem and to resume the flights as soon as it can.
"We invite passengers of cancelled flights to seek a refund at the places of booking; the refund will be provided in full," the press service said.
