Azerbaijan repeatedly violated Artsakh ceasefire on Friday – Defense Ministry
The Artsakh Defense Ministry has denied reports that its forces allegedly opened fire at Azerbaijani combat positions.
Moreover, the ministry stated the ceasefire was repeatedly breached by Azerbaijani forces themselves on Friday.
“On March 12, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spread disinformation, falsely claiming that the Artsakh Defense Army units allegedly opened gunfire at Azerbaijani combat positions,” the Artsakh military said in a statement.
“In reality, as we have already reported, on March 11, during the whole day, the ceasefire was repeatedly violated by the Azerbaijani military, that fired a total of 27 mortar shells towards the villages of Khramort, Parukh and Khanapat of the Askeran region of the Artsakh Republic.
“On the night of March 11-12, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire in different sections with the use of firearms,” reads the statement.
