Armenian Defense Ministry denies reports of Azeri provocation
The Defense Ministry of Armenia has refuted reports of deadly Azerbaijani provocation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on Wednesday, which allegedly resulted in casualties.
“The reports spread on social media and by various media outlets suggesting that the Azerbaijani military resorted to a provocation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on March 16, killing an Armenian servicemen and wounding another, are false,” the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
It urged news sites and social media users to use exclusively official reports when spreading news on the border situation.
Earlier on Thursday, the ministry said an Armenian conscript soldier, identified as Albert Siroyan, had been found dead in a military outpost with a gunshot wound in the jaw late on Wednesday evening,
