Armen Ashotyan summoned to police over ‘serious insult’
Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Armen Ashotyan has been summoned to police for making a “serious insult”.
In a Facebook post on March 3, he called Nikol Pashinyan a “traitor, who has surrendered lands”, warning him against threatening oppositionists.
“I was summoned to the Erebuni Police Department for this post today under the notorious ‘serious insults’ provision,” Ashotyan wrote on Facebook, sharing his post.
“Do not tell the EU ambassador, as she may suddenly wake up and point a finger at Nikol,” he added.
