Pashinyan: Azerbaijan simply shut off gas valve, proving its responsibility for March 7 explosion
The Artsakh Armenians have been deprived of gas supply for three days now as a result of Azerbaijan's intervention, Nikol Pashinyan told a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
"As you know, on 7 March the gas pipeline to Artsakh was blown up in Azerbaijani-controlled territory,” he recalled.
Pashinyan stressed that under various pretexts the Azerbaijani troops did not allow Artsakh’s maintenance workers to repair the gas pipeline for 11 days, eventually doing it themselves.
"As a result, according to our information, a valve was installed on the gas pipeline. On March 18, 11 days later, after restoring the gas supply to Artsakh for four days, Azerbaijan simply shut off the valve on the gas pipeline without any explosions on March 21, thus proving that it was behind the March 7 explosion," he said.
Pashinyan called special attention to the fact that both times gas supplies to Artsakh were disrupted amid freezing temperatures and snowy conditions.
