Stepantsminda-Larsi road closed to all vehicles
Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to all vehicles as of Friday morning.
Some 288 trucks and 45 passenger vehicles are stuck at Russia’s border with Georgia, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said, citing the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia.
“Drivers are recommended to use exclusively winter tires,” the ministry said.
