Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh remains tense, says Armenian Foreign Ministry
The Armenian Foreign Ministry on Friday issued the following statement on the Azerbaijani advancement into the village of Parukh in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh):
“Azerbaijan continues its infiltration into the area of responsibility of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation in Parukh village of the Askeran region of Nagorno-Karabakh that started on March 24.
The infiltrated units of the Azerbaijani armed forces attacked the combat posts of the Defense Army last night. The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh remains tense․
We expect the peacekeeping force of the Russian Federation to take measures to ensure the immediate withdrawal of the infiltrated units of the Azerbaijani armed forces from the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, which should imply the return of the Azerbaijani armed forces to their starting positions of March 23.”
