US deeply concerned about Azerbaijani troop movements in Karabakh
The United States is deeply concerned about the movements of Azerbaijani troops in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), State Department deputy spokesperson Jalina Porter told a press briefing on Friday.
“We are closely monitoring the situation along the line of contact established between – established following the November 2020 ceasefire,” she said.
“The United States is deeply concerned about Azerbaijan troop movements. Troop movements and other escalatory measures are irresponsible and unnecessarily provocative,” Porter noted.
The Azerbaijani troops seized the village of Parukh in Artsakh on Thursday. Three Armenian soldiers were killed, while 14 others were wounded in Azerbaijani drone attacks.
