Artsakh denies Azeri reports of attempted subversion
Artsakh’s Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijani reports about alleged attempted subversion by Armenian forces.
“The statement issued by the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan about the attempts of subversive activities by the Defense Army units of the Artsakh Republic is absolutely false, which pursues a primitive goal of concealing its own provocations,” it said in a statement on Friday.
Earlier on Friday, the Artsakh military reported fresh aggression by the Azerbaijani troops who have seized the village of Parukh.
“On March 26, at around 11am, the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces again resorted to aggressive actions through the use of firearms of various calibers, trying to advance into the eastern borderline of the Artsakh Republic, in the area of the Russian peacekeeping troops' responsibility,” the Defense Ministry said.
“The Defense Army units are taking adequate measures to stop the enemy's advance. Steps are being taken with the Russian peacekeeping command staff to find ways to resolve the situation,” it added.
