Armenian MP: Risk of war increases amid inadequate efforts to prevent it
Armenian lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan, who represents the opposition With Honor faction, calls for adequate measures to counter Azerbaijan’s actions in Artsakh.
"The Security Council of Armenia and its chief should naturally make clear assessments on the situation in Artsakh, but in the current military-political situation, the statements made and the measures taken must be in tune with one another,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
The MP underscores that average citizens can make statements, follow the developments on the outside and only express some concerns, but not the officials responsible for security.
“One ruling team member speaks about the high likelihood of war, while another says friendship with the Turks is inevitable.
“The likelihood of war also increases if political, diplomatic and military efforts to prevent it are inadequate,” Abrahamyan said.
