Carlo Ancelotti tests positive for Covid-19
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has tested positive for Covid-19, three days before his side resume their domestic and European campaigns, Daily Mail reports.
The Spanish giants confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday morning and it comes as a blow for Madrid as they gear up for a Champions League clash against Chelsea next week.
Before then, they resume their bid for LaLiga glory on Saturday in the early kick-off against Celta Vigo.
Real have a handsome nine-point lead at the top Spanish league standings but lost their last match 4-0 against fierce rivals Barcelona.
But they are overwhelming favourites to reclaim the Spanish league this season, after City rivals Atletico won it last year.
Ancelotti will have to test negative in order to make a Stamford Bridge reunion, with Real facing his old club in the Champions League quarter-final stage next week.
